» Web Gfx Interface Update |
|
Nov 16, 2008 - 4:38 AM - by hsh
|
The graphics interface of the webpug has been completely rebuilt, with some excellent new additions and a much changed layout which will look and feel a lot better than before.
Once the adjustments have been made to the code side and we've tested it well start looking at testing it live.
For those that didn't get to test it the last round that we put it up you'll be able to take it for a test run shortly which will as before support irc and the web together again. Well also be looking to support other games and build on the features that currently exist.
Stay tuned...

» Web Pug Update |
|
Nov 15, 2008 - 1:22 AM - by hsh

Ok after a discussion with GotGames over the content of us using aspects of its pug system to work with our revised version, and even though we had come to an agreement to include 1260 in our credits after an over due chat with him which went very well, we decided to pull the pug from public use until we update and change it.
Although this might not be good news for the 1.6 community as you feel you've been left out to a point with a web based 1.6 pug, and enjoyed the irc/web based version, we felt it was the right thing to do at this point.
I will say the intentions of our project were to benefit the 1.6 gamers and give them a chance to either use IRC or the web to join making it unique in the way of how the pug works. Unfortunately we only have ourselves to blame in that we jumped into the release thinking that others would see that our intentions were to help out the community as all of our non profit projects in the past have.
To this we decided to pull the project and continue to work on what we have and change other aspects of it to make it our own. Although the entire IRC side and functions are ours and also the way the bot responds to commands also is our own work, apparently there are others that feel we ripped off 100% of the GG pug bot.
At this stage we feel we are in a good position to recreate an even better version which will look and feel a lot better than the previous version, and with the magic of JoolzCheat you can also expect a high standard of work.
I hope you all understand the situation and stick it out while we build a new interface and fix up other areas.
We will be back bigger and badder soon.
Kind regards
Hash and Joolzcheat.

Weve taken down the web pug until we sort some of the auto ban issues associated with the pug which is banning to many users. Its been a good beta testing period which we are looking forward to moving to a final product in the near future.
For all those that got a taste, enjoy the work and itll be back up soon.

» Web/IRC Pug Released |
|
Nov 14, 2008 - 3:54 AM - by hsh
|
The New WebPug has been released. Coded by Joolzcheat the Pug works both via this web site (you can access from the nav menu on the left) and also via IRC Gamesurge.net #Cspug.
The bot is the first in Australia to be Web and IRC compatible allowing players to use either the website or IRC to participate in the same pug game together.
Both web and IRC users will also be able to communicate with each other, and the same commands from the IRC channel will also work in the chat window of the webpug window to control the pug.
The benifits of this pug over the old one is that it is all automated. It prevents leakers, auto assigns players teams, auto changes teams at half time and auto gets players when a player has left the game, just to name a few features.
Still in Beta stage at the momment, there are more features and commands constantly being improved and added, but the core of the bot runs smoothly enough for us to release for the public to use.
Thanks go out to JoolzCheat, Exile, Aubb and the countless other names who have helped make this a great service. Also many thanks to Brc and #Ausnet, Colin and #ColtGaming and Trent and Mick from #Dominance-Gaming for their server support in testing and the release.

Well as usual Ive been improving the site. Here are the latest fixes and additions.
Firstly Ive added a whole lot of new ranks which feature animated ranks which you will see displayed in your posts. There are also a lot more ranks between users which makes it more interesting for users looking to improve thier rankings. You can check them here
Another area which has changed is the way which the forums display the posters. Ive now made it left of the screen which has turned out to look very nice.
And last but not least the reputation levels are finally all working as they should. The Rep pips are also working nicely and Ive included a mod called extended reputation, which will carry the rep level above and beyond the normal capacity of the regular levels. The extra levels include dark green and gold pips. In addition it also extends to stars when you start to fill up your pips.
Anyways if you didnt quite understand any of that youll see what i mean as your reputation levels increase, its quite slick.
So thats all for now ill keep you up with more as it comes.
