The New Scrim Bot Version 9 has finally released. It has taken alot of work and has finally got to the release after many an hour of tug n pull with various people on how this thing should look/work.
It was very hard to improve on what was a very impressive bot in the v8 release, and after much looking over it I decided along with the help of other admin from both Scrim and Cspug that we could make some great improvements.
Let get into what has changed:
- The first thing you will notice is the layout is clearer and easier to understand. This was very important for all the users, as I felt the v8 did have a bit of the same old same old going on.
- The colors are much better and is now easier to spot a war.
- The addition of Nick: and Message: a small addition but very usefull for new users, also handy to veterans.
- A massive update of War/Slut/Recruit triggers. I swear this bot will pick up a fart that sounds like war now!
- The word filter on the bot has been massively updated to effectively differentiate between what it picks up.
- An overall clean up of other areas which round out the package and add to the effectiveness and use of the bot.
So whats to come? Believe it or not there is still more to come. Without making the bot bulky, the new features will overall make this thing even more beastly! Time is always a factor but be assured that what I add in the future will continue to make this thing even better.
Scrim has continued to be the number one place of choice for users to find wars/sluts/recruits. Despite cheap imitators, and rubbishy other scrim finders, we will continue to bring you guys the absolute best, from the people who have been doing it for 5+ years.

Ive setup a public server with HLSTATSX Premium. We are doing a special deal with company AGSERVERS and we are getting a small discount.
The server is located in Brisbane, Is a 20 slot public server with Source TV. Its only just gone up so im hoping a few people can go in and test it out, Tell us how the pings are and if the rego is good.
The server is also available for booking by clans who dont have there own server and need to war. If you want to use the server just msg Hydroz in our IRC channel.
Source tv will stay running during all wars and anyone can spectate, An admin my also jump into spec mod to help run the server while the war is going on.

It’s been a while for some news so heres something that will be of good use to the community. Let me start by telling you a little about what it is. "EzIRC" Chat is a simple and easy-to-use IRC addon using pJIRC. It’s basically IRC via the Scrim website which enables you to join Gamesurge and gives you access to all the channels and features of IRC Gamesurge. You can access IRC Scrim Cspug via the left menu.
Here is a quick rundown of how it makes your life easier:
- You don’t need to install Mirc (just java which has other web uses).
- Once java is installed you are ready and will automatically be joined to Gamesurge and the channel #Scrim (other channels can be joined via /j #channelname
- This is compatible with all browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome etc) and runs as fast as using an IRC client. There are no slowdowns, crashes or lag.
- You can auth, mode X, and do everything you could with a regular IRC Client (Including starting and running your own channels if you wish)
- You will have access to hundreds of users and communities. There are no limitations of what you can do, join, create.
- All the channel commands are on one page, which is massively handy to new users.
Really the best thing I find about this is that it’s a quick route to IRC Gamesurge, especially for those that are new to it and need the commands for the bots right in front of you. I will also mention I will be adding more commands as people need them.
This hasn’t been made as a replacement for IRC clients, and is there for you to use as needed. However for those that do want to use it on a regular basis you are more than welcome. The more people that support Gamesurge the better.

For those that are wanting to know some of the latest fixes and features on the bot, here are are the ones that i know of :
- The bot now assigns the CT and T teams to the players via their ranks ensuring that the teams are evenly picked.
- The pug is now leak proof.
- Players must be approved or denied by admin when joining the pug for the first time.
- Various NEW admin commands and features.
- HLTV not only auto joins and records but now uploads the demo and gives a link.
And for a complete update on the bot I'm sure Exile will make another post update with the official release number of the bot etc
